CAPE COD
INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Our Story
Welcome to the Cape Cod International Film Festival! We strive to discover best new films from around the world and share them with an appreciative local and visiting audience.
Special congratulations to Konstantin Bronzit, Director of WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT COSMOS, 2016 Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Short. We're rooting for you!
We strive to select the best projects, regardless of genre. We look for technical proficiency - pacing, editing, cinematography; as well as storytelling skill, strength-of-script, and artistic perfomances.
Cape Cod is a well-known tourist destination, especially in the summer months. The CCIFF is held in October, when the weather is still warm, and smart travelers, couples and tourists come to visit. It's at this time of year when all of Cape Cod is accessible - beaches, restaurants and shops.

One of the main goals of the event is to bring audience members closer to the filmmaking process. Production teams who's work is selected will also be invited to attend the Festival and participate in social events and Q&A sessions at screenings.
Anticipated venues for 2015 presentations are the Cape Cod Museum of Art screening room in East Dennis, the Orpheum Theater in Chatham, and the Main Street Wine and Gourmet screening loft.
The CCIFF was founded by Cape Cod resident, Phil Rectra, who changed the marquis at this hometown movie theater in 1983, and acted in an Indie comedy in 2002. He heads up content deployment for Machine Analytics, Inc., in Cambridge, MA.
